Local Crime Update – 7 days ending 12.5.19.

Oakham Beat.

Oakham – Vehicle Crime, outside flats in Derwent Drive.  Between 12 noon and 1.50pm 5.5.19 (Sun), a stone was thrown through front nearside window of car.  Nothing stolen.

Oakham – Theft in Tesco Store, South Street 3.57pm 5.5.19.  (Sun just before 4pm closing).  Used a black Toyota or Daewoo displaying plates FP54 *WB.  Vehicle linked to 5 previous thefts in Northants, Uppingham, Stamford, Corby, Northampton.

Rutland North Beat.

Whissendine – Theft of tools from parked van in Oakham Road, at 2.36am 8.5.19 (Wed).  Two men seen to run away; tools found in stolen Nissan Qashkai parked nearby.  Enquiries continue.  If anyone has CCTV or other evidence, please tel. Police on 101/crime ref19*232785.

Tickencote  – Vehicle crimes, 12.25am 10.5.19 (Fri) Police patrol finds two HGV’s in Empingham Lane, near A1N had been attacked and diesel stolen.  Search made and fuel found in containers nearby with pipe to act as syphon.

Market Overton – Vehicle crime, from car parked on verge Main Street, overnight 10/11.5.19 (Fri/Sat). Theft of front and rear number plates AK11 *KT.  If anyone has any CCTV in the area and have any sights of a vehicle acting suspiciously, please pass info to Police on tel 101, crim ref 19*240195.

Ashwell – Oakham Enterprise Park, Ashwell Road,  between midnight 30.4 and 12 noon 11.5.19, theft of caravan from storage site.  Stolen 2015, White Crusader Super Cyclone, secured with hitch lock and alarm, serial number SGET**********5046.  Value £18,000 plus £5,000 contents.  Any sightings or info please contact Police on tel 101/ref 19*240510.

Rutland South Beat.

Empingham – Burglary dwelling, up and over door of garage attached to dwelling forced overnight 7/8.5.19 (Tue/Wed). Stolen, patio furniture, BBQ, and tools stolen.  Full desciption not yet known.

Uppingham Beat.

Uppingham – Vehicle Crime, Shepherds Way.  Overnight 7/8.5.19 (Tue/Wed) Drivers door cut below the lock, which was worked open. Stolen, Satellite Navigation equipment.
