18 year old to stand trial for the murder of a 16 year old in a post code lottery killing

A teenager from Leicestershire stands accused of the murder of a 16-year-old boy stabbed to death as part of an ‘postcode’ gang war.

Bongani Ngoz is one of three men charged over the death of Jaydon James, from Coventry, who died of a single stab wound after being attacked in the Wood End area of the city in November 2018.

The 18-year-old, of Rosemary Way, Hinckley, was detained in January 2019 by police who recovered a phone containing web searches allegedly related to the incident.

Prosecutor Michael Burrows QC told jurors at Warwick Crown Court that Ngoz had acted together with Abdirazac Hussein Abdi and Frank Kenfack to murder Jaydon.
