How is your Rutland App doing and what can you do to help?

Rural areas should not have to accept inferior services, this app shows what can be done.

This is genuinely a world first for Rutland, developed by two retired people using their life skills for purely altruistic reasons: reducing rural isolation and giving all the means to make ‘informed decisions’.  Using a ubiquitous device, it provides at the click of a button, everyone (not just NHW members) with a ‘one stop shop’ for Rutland living.

Timely Police Alerts, local news (from Radio and Print), Traffic Updates and weather (essential in recent snow and road closures) and ‘Fix my Street’ links to the local council, are available alongside Crime Prevention information, and essential local contacts (Doctors, Dentist, Vets, Transport etc).  Remaining true to its origins, it provides fast links to both Emergency Services and to a range of Support services for victims (Victim Support, Domestic Violence, Childline, etc).

The population of Rutland is approximately 40,000.  With minimal promotion and few administrators, we need to see as many Rutlanders as possible using the App for maximum effectiveness.

Please consider two things:

and

consider a donation, no matter how small.  You can find a link on our donate page
