North Beat.

GreethamTheft by syphoning approximately 300 litres of diesel from a snack van left parked overnight 12-13/10/21 (Tues/Wed) on A1 opposite Mels Café.

South Beat.

Branunstone in RutlandAttempted burglary from public house, Cedar Street.  Rear Fire Door handle pulled away, no entry gained.

Gunthorpe – Theft of motor vehicle, between 11.20am and 12.10pm 12.10.21, from driveway in Hall Drive.  Owner had trouble starting and advised by AA to leave engine running until battery was re-charged.  Owner did so and when he returned the vehicle had been removed.  It was found about ½ a mile away.  Stolen silver Aston Martin DB9 Volante.  Recovered intact.  If anyone CCTV in that neighbourhood, please check it for this 50 minute period.  If you have any information which may assist the Police telephone 101 leaving info for PC2113 Icke, Beat Officer quoting Crime ref 21*594010.

Luffenham – Theft of Pacific blue iPhone, approx. 2.40pm 12.10.21.  IMEI number known.  Suspect visited owner to ‘purchase’ phone advertised for sale on Facebook Market Place.  Allowed to examine phone whilst owner counted money.  When it was not all there the suspect apologised said he would return with the ‘missing cash’.  After he had gone the owner realised that his phone had been taken and replaced by an exact replica ‘dummy model’ used in shops for display purposes.
