Rutland Crime Alerts for 48 hours ending 4.2.21.

North Beat.

Tickencote – theft from foreign lorry parked overnight, Casterton Road, between 10pm 2.2 and 8am 3.2.21 (Tues/Wed).  Rear of lorry broken into and 21 boxes stolen.  Contents not known.

South Beat.

Thorpe by Water – theft of domestic heating oil between 11am and 6.30pm 1.2.21 (Mon), detached property, Main Street.  Approximately 750 litres of oil siphoned from outside tank.  A ladder was moved and placed against the side of the tank.

Did anyone see men carrying containers to a non local vehicle (probably a closed van)?  If so, please pass information to PC 2113 Icke, Oakham Police (tel 101) quoting crime ref 21*(068775.

Uppingham Beat.

Theft of radiator from outside house in course of renovation North Street East, between 1.15pm-1.45pm 3.2.21 (Wed).  Builder returns to front of house sees male place new radiator in rear of white Transit van.  In struggle with man over property, radiator recovered but damaged.  Man drives off in vehicle.  Suspect dark hair wearing grey hoodie and trainers driving white Ford Transit LWB index FG05XW*, contains scrap metal.

Anyone who may have any information, CCTV or dashcam, which may assist the enquiry to trace the driver and vehicle please pass to Oakham Police (tel 101) quoting crime ref 21* 070350.
