Rutland Local Crime Update for 14 days ending 24.05.2020

Oakham Beat:

Parkfield Road, Oakham (19/05/20) – Yoghurt thrown over residents car in an act of vandalism.  No lasting damage caused to vehicle; a silver Mercedes.  Enquiries in hand with local beat team.

Westfield Avenue, Oakham (20/05/20) – Local officers stop search a male and find cannabis in his possession.  Due to his age he will be offered education and diversionary options.

Rutland North Beat:

Station Road, Whissendine (10/05/20 – 13/05/20) – Between stated times, unknown person have broken into rear garden outbuilding of address and stolen gardening equipment; lawnmower, tools, strimmer etc as well as bicycles.  No images of stolen property or other identifying details.

Melton Road, Langham (16/05/20) – Male driver stopped by police and found to be in possession of cannabis and driving whilst unfit due to said drug.  He was arrested and taken to custody where he was interviewed and dealt with.

Bloody Oak’s Service Station, A1 (19/05/20) – Driver of a silver Ford Fiesta fills vehicle with £49.24 worth of petrol and makes off without attempting to pay.

Rutland South Beat:

Ketton Road, Empingham (19/05/20) – A ’59 plate Audi parked at the side of the road has had a rear window smashed and two iPhone’s and a wallet stolen from the car.

Winston Close, Ketton (22/05/20) – A Grey coloured ’66 plate Mercedes A180 has been keyed at the location between the hours of 7.55am and 8.45am.
