Rutland Local Crime Update for 7 days ending 20.6.20.

Oakham Beat.

Oakham – Vehicle crime, Welland Way, 4.30am, 14.6.20, 3 males found in victim’s vehicle on driveway.  Ran away, one arrested nearby, enquiries continue.

Oakham – Criminal damage, Cheviot Close area.  2 youths commit low level damage on garages and lamp posts with black ink and paint.  Youths detained and dealt with by ‘Community Resolution’.

Rutland North Beat.

Stretton – Attempted entry to vending machine, Hinch Enterprises Hooby Lane, overnight 18/19.6.20.  Metal frame bent and attempt made to drill lock.  Nothing believed stolen.

Rutland South.

Wardley – Theft of sheep hurdles from middle of field Wood Lane Farm, Wardley Hill during evening 16.6.20 (Tues).  Stolen 41 metal sheep hurdles, 6’ in length, 36” high.  Believed vehicle (likely flat backed) reversed to locked gate, and hurdles carried from mid field to load on vehicle.  This would not be a quick process and would be visible from the A47.  Estimate approx. £1000 to replace.

Did anyone see men manoeuvring metal barriers over the gate and loading them on the lorry?  Any information to Rutland Police quoting Crime ref 20* 305850.

Uppingham Beat.

Uppingham, Criminal damage to window of vehicle parked in Dolphin Court residents Car Park, between 7.20am -8.20am, 17.6.20 (Wed).  May be related to another unconfirmed incident in Car Park when car tyres were slashed.
