Local Crime Update from Rutland NHW

Rutland Local Crime Update 7 days to 11.1.19.

Vehicles to note and watch out for:

1. White BMW XI, index RJ 18ZUD (Stolen).
2. White Ford Transit van with SJS or BJS Roofing Services on sides (Early morning theft of fuel garage forecourts);
3. White Ford Connect panel van YS 53 NN*. (Daytime theft from car parks.)
4. Blue or black old-style box-shaped VW, index included letters EX or FX. (Late evening burglary barn.)

With exception of (1), which was stolen, they are strongly suspected of involvement in crime locally (see below).  If seen please note full index number, location, and any description of suspects, report (1) on ‘999’, and remainder on 101, pass for information of Beat Officers Rutland Police.  Do not try to detain.  Full details shown below.

Please be alert. If you see a vehicle with 2 or 3 occupants (usually males), ‘aimlessly’ cruising by parked cars or lorries (day or night), take the index number and pass to local Beat Officer (see Rutland app).

Oakham Beat.

Oakham, theft of fuel from 10 cars on two garage forecourts in Pillings Road, between 6am-6.20am 5.1.19.  Suspects two males in white Ford Transit van with SJS or BJS Roofing Services on sides. Do not approach but report any sightings and index number please, to PC 1312 Lloyd, Oakham Beat Officer by tel 101.

Oakham, theft of tools from motor vehicle, driveway in Princess Avenue, between 12 noon 4.1 and 11.59pm 6.1.19.  No sign forced entry. Stolen Makita nail gun and two Makita cordless drills.

Oakham, keyless theft of white BMW XI, index RJ 18ZUD. driveway Nene Close, overnight 8/9.1.19.  Any sightings do not approach, dial 999, and report location quoting crime record 19*012274.

Exton, theft of bench and bronze resin figure (very heavy) from garden at New Field, overnight 3/4.1.19. Picture circulated on Social Media @Rutlandpolice and RuralWatch. Please report any sightings on tel 101 to PC1742 Appleton at Oakham Police.

Stretton, theft of 150 litres of diesel syphoned from lorry parked in layby Great North Road approx. 2.55am 8.1.19 (Tues). .

Hambleton, Burglary dwelling, Ketton Road, between 1.40pm-2.45pm 11.1.19 (Fri). Rear entry, smash conservatory window open, no entry.

Rutland South Beat.

Empingham, Theft from vehicle in Normanton Park Road, between 9am and 12.30pm 5.1.19 (Sat). Window smashed to gain entry. Stolen small amount cash, car stereo, wheel pump, sunglasses and Anton Telegan heating engineer’s tool.

Edith Weston, 2 cases vehicle crime in Car Park Rutland Water Fishing Lodge, Normanton Road between 10.30am-3pm 5.1.19 (Sat). (i) Window smashed nothing stolen. (ii) Vehicle insecure car stereo stolen.

Edith Weston, Theft from vehicle in Car park, Rutland Golf Club, approx. 10.5am 5.1.19 (Sat). Smash front nearside windscreen stole Pioneer car stereo and wallet.

Possible suspect, white Ford Connect panel van YS 53 NN* seen in carpark at material times. If so, likely suspect for all 4 similar thefts.

Seaton, Burglary non-dwelling, at barn on land near house Main Street, approx. 11.30pm 6.1.19. Untidy search. 2 men disturbed, left in blue or black old-style box-shaped VW, index included letters EX or FX driven to doors barn.

Tickencote, theft of 150 litres diesel, overnight 9/10.1.19. Syphoned from lorry parked Great North Road

Wing, Burglary dwelling, Morcott Road, between 5.30am-1pm 11.1.19. Open garage steal drill in red case, 2 socket sets in grey case, and battery charger.

Uppingham, theft from vehicle Willow Close, overnight 10/11.1.19, theft of air freshener.
